So AATLAS1X turned me on to the trailer idea and has got me looking. I've seen some M105A's in my state on Government Liquidators. I haven't seen much on this forum on these trailers. Too big?

Seems like the M416's are the preferred for sure eh? We'll gonna give a go at government auctions anyway. Could be good for looking for boats and field equipment for my business?

Thanks and I'm enjoying this forum here. You guys are doing some really great stuff with these trailers.

Have a great weekend,
Chris

M101 is the Canadian equivalent to the M416 and much younger. They were built in '92. They are more scarce and the prices are going up on them. It's the other smaller trailer I'd suggest keeping your eye out for.

I'm very much interested in a M101 Canadian. These look to be the ideal size and weight for our rig.

I've seen a few for sale south of the border, but none in the Midwest so far, but I keep looking here on MUD, within reasonable distances on CL, and just in general. Any tips on locating one would be welcome. We're not too far from Chicago and would generally be willing to pick one up within a 500 mile radius from there. Don't know if there are any Canadian surplus dealers that might be a place to keep in mind.

i bought my m1o1 from willy's acres about 1 hour north of toronto.. at the time he had a couple dozen maybe.. also for you american 416 guys he has reproduction tubs wheels and other goodies.

a few months ago i found 3 m1o1's near ottawa ontario mint shape 600 bucks each.. i can check if they are still there but thats a little more than 500 miles i think.. it was a 6 hour drive from niagara falls each way.. 600 bucks for trailer 300 bucks for gas .. the deal didnt seem so good anymore..

swampman,
Willys looks promising as any, but nothing specific currently. I may try a contact just to see. I've got a small 4x8 trailer I could use to pickup and haul home. I'm thinking you can't assume road-ready condition as far as lights and tires, maybe. Don't see how you could handle plates and insurance across the international border otherwise, but if anyone has an idea and done this before???

A US source would be more convenient, but these are nice trailers that really match up with LancCruisers, so I've kind of got my eyes on one.
