After buying a 2000 4Runner 3 years ago and loving it, I decided to step up and try something bigger. Spent some time learning about the 80 series and that was when I discovered the Lexus version of the LC. Started searching for a viable candidate and found one on eBay. Bought it, flew in and drove it home. You can see it here:

It is truly a nice truck. Have already installed the CDL switch and 7 pin mod, thinking of an ARB winch bumper (my Ford SD truck has a Warn 12k winch I may rob) and possibly a long range fuel tank for some trips into Canada fishing the lakes. Have learned a lot reading back posts and searching up all the facts for my future projects.

nice find! Now that you have it, have you found any issues from the rig sitting? Any maint records? If nothing recent, maybe swap out every fluid in that rig for a start.

Wow...I bought mine with 118,000 miles so they're like twins Did you get the story of how a 12 year old truck managed less than 600 miles per year? I use that much to and from the gas station down the street

Long story, but essentially owned by a gent that traveled a lot and had his housekeeper drive it 50 miles a month to keep everything "well oiled". I checked the Lexus service records at the Lexus dealer and all came up good. Carfax showed nothing but verification of what I had learned from the PO, housekeeper and dealership. A buddy went with me (A1 mechanic) and checked everything out. We jumped in it and drove home 2300 miles in 40 hours cruising lots of 75mph and got 16-16.5 mpg. So far it seems like a new rig, nothing is worn or "old" yet. Had all the fluids changed once I got home, rotated the tires, and now is my DD. My 4Runner Limited is on the market and will be missed. Wished this LX had the 4WD that the 4Runner has, AWD, 4WD and 2WD options. Thinking of 285's and ARB it with winch. 12K seems overkill and too much weight. Thoughts?
