New owner of a '91 model with 268k miles checking in. Blew the headgasket on mile 280 of the 300 mile trip home. So, two weeks later it's back on the road. I had the head resurfaced/leak tested and also went ahead and desmogged her while I had it apart. Since re-assmbly, I've put around 400 miles on it, most being on forest service roads.

I do think it's quite humorous when people talk about the 3FE being slow. I guess you guys have never owned a Series Land Rover. Now, that's slow.
