Unless we (the fam) go somewhere, I'm up to a snow-ish run for New Year's. Anyone else? Too bad Paliza got bladed, but there might be enough snow to still make it fun. Other suggestions?

Bladed from just below the tank traps to the top of the ridge. From the top of the ridge out has been "fixed."

In prep for a 13,000 acre prescribed fire hopefully in 2013.
anyone know the snow depth/conditions in the Jemez currently? I'm thinking about this run if I can get the fixes finished on the 40.

Impromptu Snow Run
We made a snow run yesterday - taking FR 144 north from SR 126 at milepost 34, we got further up 144 in the Jemez than anyone else who had visible tracks - and they were buried under another 6 or so inches of snow. We were going to try to go all the way around to Espanola but after half a day and not even getting halfway, and the fact that we only made it up to about 9,000 feet elevation and to get all the way around it would take us to 11,000 feet, we decided discretion was the better part of valor... P.S. ended up at a neat new Brew Pub in Los Alamos (at the end of the KML).

we ended up spending the night at the water park hotel in abq, so not us. Didn't seem to be much interest, anyway. Happy New Year
well, my low press. fuel pump is in and I have heat shield in my posession for install. though in the snow, heat on the fuel system has never been an issue.
I'm ready for a snow run considering there should be plenty up there now.
