New wheels maybe

Those wheels in 17” are the same as my visions. 8.5” with a zero offset. I’m running 285-70-17 with a 3” lift and SPC UCAs. Plenty of room to my UCA and no BMC. I did have to trim away some of the plastic from the front of the fenderwell as they rubbed there. With spacers you’d clear factory UCAs but you’d be into the body mount. It’s a trade off. I do think you’d rub the OEM UCA without spacers and that large of a tire.

@inovashn if you are currently on factory suspension, could you measure your hub to fender distance prior to the lift? I’m trying to get an idea of the original factory height compared to a lifted height.

Also, if you want to keep your stock oem wheels to save money, you can put a skinny tall tire that’s less than 10.4” wide. Like these:

255/80R17 = 33.1”x10”
235/85/17 = 32.7” x 9.3”
255/75/17 = 32.1” x 10”

If you go over 32.2 or close to that, then you have issues like need to trim the fender liner, probably won’t fit in spare stock location unless you air down spare, need lift, etc.

The 8.5” wheels put my wheel/ combination right to the edge, maybe a hair beyond the fenders. Someone will correct if I’m wrong but I believe the OEM wheels are 7.5”, 0 offset, 3.75 BS,
The 8.5”, 0 offset, 4.25 BS.
Just by comparing the two, you will be a 1/2” closer to the UCAs by gong to the wider wheel. Then you’d have to compare the added width of tire which will vary depending on brand and type of tire.

There have been times, depending on how well an alignment shop does, that you could fit the 285 on OEM wheels and not rub UCAs. But it will be very close.

My spare fits but I did remove the air tank and miscellaneous hardware. It is currently is inflated to 35 PSI and just barely slid into place. And I don’t have KDSS.

OEM wheel are actually +15 offset. 0 offset moves it well outside and helps with UCA clearance (unless you use a 12.50 tire with OEM UCAs).

@DanKunz thanks for the clarification. I was getting mixed info when trying to find the OEM wheel specs. Just figured they’d be close to FJC specs...

My understanding is also +25 offset on the oem gx470 wheels.

By the way, I'm running 17x9 rims with a -12 offset on BFG KO 285/70/17 tires and I still rub on full turns and I had to remove some of the plastic wheel liner to reduce rubbing. TC UCAs and lifted about 2.5" as far as I can tell.

I fat fingered, I meant +25.
