FWIW I think we are pushing @dogfishlake a bit hard on the order front...had a few QC issues with my order so maybe we should give him some time to catch up. Still overall glad to get my rack in.

Seems like one of those good problems.

For anyone who has installed the rack and @dogfishlake. The instructions state to install the latches on the corresponding side as marked. My latches were not marked, and I’m wondering if there is a way to tell.

Hmm might be important however i didn't read the instructions so I don't think i did any of that. Not taking it down to check since it seems perfect the way it is.

They look very similar, it’s probably nothing, but I’d assume they put it in for a reason 🤷‍♂️

Haha probably ten times stronger when you follow directions but it was over a year ago and i was excited

The rack is overkill. You don't need to install all those crossbars unless you have something crazy upthere.

Yeah, I’m very happy with it. I had a Prinsu before this and they’re very similar. The latches are so much beefier. It came with some minor dings and scratches to the finish, but overall it looks to be super sturdy.

I'm ready to order too...getting one of these is like searching for a bottle of Blantons!
You literally stole my words, but I did get a bottle of Blantons for $60 and sold it for $100.
I bought my Cruiser for $5k but wouldn't sell it for $10K, if that tells you anything.

Holds my canoe up there like iron. Thanks Patrick!

HaHa... I have two bottles in the cabinet and I'm not selling (or drinking until there is a third) - and now I have a Bowfin on the roof!

Also picked my cruiser up for about 5K about ten years ago, and I wouldn't sell for under 20k now, so I understand!

Cannot say enough good things about Patrick and the Bowfin Rack. Communications was excellent throughout the process and he shipped quickly after my order. Everything arrived in top notch shape - no damage, scratches or dings on anything. All parts ordered received. The assembly directions were spot-on and it was easy to put together. He included extra hardware in each package just in case I lost something. Mounted my RTT today and I cannot wait to get this thing on the trail to field test its durability. I have a feeling that I will not be disappointed as it is very, very stout once assembled and tightened up. Highly recommend this rack.

Looking good there Pete. Now you just need a few shakedown runs.

Got the chance to use the rack for a four day camping weekend, was quite happy with it.
Here you can see it being put to the stress of holding down a unicorn floatie lol.

I definitely took advantage of the M6 stainless eyes and drop in T-nuts, I've got more tie down points than I know what to do with. The Pioneer platform on my Taco is jealous.

I ordered this 38” split from amazon. I had used it on a past build and it worked great for the year I had it. I’m not sure how it will fit in the 40” space since I just ordered my rack this morning, but I figured I could center it well and the 1” gaps on each side won’t keep me awake at night. For $160 it’s hard to beat. Ok not someone that gets too much use out of my light bar since I live in City / suburbs so it’s hard for me to justify the high cost of some of the rigid or other LED companies out there.
