Diesel is in the works. I read that the Tundra is to be built at two plants - one in Indiana and the other in Texas.

I wonder if the 1/2 ton will be continued in Indiana along side the Sequia, while the HD Tundra will be built in Texas. Just my opinion.

Looks like a Ram, F-150 and Sierra all mixed together- looks good tho
big 2 are screwed

I REALLY like that design. If I only had more than just this pot to piss in

Diesel and a dual rear wheel version at some point.

It kinda looks like a superduty with that large chrome grill.

The current tundra is nice, but to attack the market they need something bigger for working. Or offer the larger cab with the long box. Only yota can screw it up this bad. Why not do it right the first time. People want bigger cabs and long boxes, not either or.

Diesel option is a no brainer for guys who work there trucks.

From what I saw a couple weeks ago this truck is awesome, significantly larger than the up to '06 model years. From what I was told the production of the first diesel prototyps are in the works as we speak. hopefully ready for launch in '08-'09. I have not however heard anything about dual rear wheels. The 1/2 ton will still be manufactured in Indiana, while the bigger models made in Texas, mainly due to the shop setup in Indiana is too small to hold the larger trucks, as are a lot of Toyota dealerships lifts and alignment racks. As for the lifted suspension and tires, the plan is to make a TRD Model with a beefed Suspension and Some nice M&S tires. I'll throw updates up hear when I hear them

The pics on Toyota.com are of a 4 door which replaces the current "access cab" Tundra, there will be an even larger cab to replace the current "double cab". Also there will be three bed sizes, not two. and the 4.0, 4.7, and 5.7 engines.

Wonder what the 5.7 will be rated at (hp/tq), any educated guesses?

Okay, where are all of our photochop gurus at?

I'd like to see what a possible crew cab with duallies would like like, please.

Go to "http://www.toyota.com/vehicles/future/index.html?s_van=GM_TN_FUTURE", then click on "The All New Tundra > Learn More", after a new window pops up, click on "The Specs" then "Wheelbase" to see under the chassis. It's got a v-8 engine with an aluminim block. That doesn't look diesel to me :( It looks great though! Like a new RAV4 on steroids, in a good way though!
