so Jill isn't caring for the FJC's suicide doors with a teenager getting in and out, and the limited visibility out the back. so, we went shopping for her. a few days ago, we brought this home. sorry for the blurry pic. 2016 4runner Trail Premium with KDSS, 26600 miles. today I ordered the lift components and then we will swap the Duratrac tires over from the FJ. FJ will be up for sale soon.

I gotta trim some fat around here. there's now 8 vehicles parked in my garage and yard.

The FJC's are nice, but I would agree with Jill about the visibility.

What kind of lift are you going with on the 4Runner? Looks like a very nice truck!

4runner Trail Premium? So what does that mean for amenities?

the premium version gets a sunroof, leather seats(faux leather), heated seats, power passenger seat(power driver was in regular too). I think that's it. both have the locker, and a series of offroad settings that I probably won't use. and KDSS. that's a cool system. I'll put a link to a vid.

I went with the Fat Bob's Garage adjustable front coils, 3", and OME 2.5-3" rears. also got SPC upper control arms.

here's an overview of kdss. I just did final inspection on 2 of our new rescues (fire ambulance) with a liquid spring suspension. it sold me. kdss is similar and will be most noteable on road to stop body roll on corners (where 90% of our driving will be).

I took our new rescue with liquid spring over a couple slow bumps (the big 25mph kind) at 45 mph and barely felt it, then at an angle up the equivalent of a curb with no body roll (slower of course, like 2-3 mph).

the problem kdss poses is sliders. this is the driver frame rail with the kdss lines and pump. not insurmountable, but a bit of a pain. I plan to make my own sliders.

Congrats! Maybe we need to make 2 sets of sliders together...3 if Franklin get involved...oh and Barry?

Know I'll be making mine unless the money tree grows soon...but I do enjoy making my own stuff.

kids grow way faster than money trees. sounds fine to me to make em together...I was going to make templates for the frame pieces where the factory threaded holes are. was even thinking of buying a tubing bender. it will almost pay for itself with a set of sliders and then free for the rear fenders for my 40 and the 40 trailer and Brock's truck.

Congrats on the new rig!!

thank you sir!

Sweet man! FWIW I am actually pleasantly pleased with the terrain ATRAC in our '14 trail... I don't care for the speed control thing, but shrug.

I have done nothing but some scuffs and dings... and ARB skids. trying the light and non wheeled version for now... lol. that and it's momma's daily, so she says no lift till that is not the case... I need more space, speaking of money trees...
