new to me warn 8274...advice please

hello all. I just aquired this winch and it came with an extra "upgrade" motor. I've searched looking for this answer but don't seem to be able to find the answer so maybe someone can tell me. is this the right motor to upgrade this winch with? if you know of a thread with the info please guide me to it. I thought I saw one once but haven't been able to find it. if it is the right motor then having a little description of how to proceed with the swap would be nice. I havent dug into it yet to figure it out but I will. I'm going to go over it thoroughly before installing it. thanks

Yep, that is the warn 6hp off a 9.5XP winch, it's a great upgrade to the 8274.

Depending on the age of your 8274, you may need the splined input gear which is readily available from numerous vendors on the web.

they don't
gigglepin carries the bow motor but you are going to pay an arm and a leg to ship em to canada from the UK.
Not to mention the price.
The xp motor is used on 24v trucks to make them run faster.... Its actually an upgrade if you want to run something faster....
