Good Sunday Morning fellow ih8mudders,

Just letting everyone know about my recent purchase ($6k, 2 weeks ago):

“Ducky” is a 2001 Lexus LX470 with ~241,000 miles.

I am still determining Paint Color, where can I find paint code?

The condition is puzzling to me with mileage and geographical life history MD>AL

I am chasing down a P0446 CEL issue.

The interior condition is excellent with the exception of driver seat lower and steering wheel.

Nice pick up, doesn't seem rusty at all looking at that last pic's undercarriage. No Navigation is a rare find as well.

Ok so the paint code is 057, White Pearl Tri-coat.

Since purchase I have had the thought that the paint seemed unusually nice and glossy for an older Toyota. Toyotas arent known for their excellent paint.
Does anyone know if this “Tri-coat” was special? Were all colors on ‘01 models “Tri-coat”?

Congrats on the purchase and joining the white lx470 club. Toyota is not known for their paint, but most white Lexus models hold up very well.

I didnt think the Nav/Digital screen dash was an option on ‘01 models?

My old 2001 had it, i think it was an option as early as 1998, people without nav lucked out because you can change your head unit.

All colors were not tri-coat. Tri coat is common on pearls, though. Base, pearl/effect coat, clear. Three coats of material = tri-coat.

Harder to repaint, but sure looks nice when it's done right!
