My new to me 2015 LC has relatively new tires on it. They are fine for highway driving but definitely not AT tires.

Along with sliders new tires are certainly a must. Has anyone had any luck selling their tires to a tire store? Any recs on where to purchase new tires? We typically have gone to Costco, I just was hoping to get some money for the tires currently on the vehicle. I realize it won't be much but would be nice to get something.

Any advice would be appreciated.

A tire store won't give you much if anything for used tires unless they're a used tire reseller, but you can always put them up on craigslist to get some money back. It depends on how active your local CL is, but here in Denver decent used SUV/truck tires sell relatively quick if they're a common size.

when shopping for new tires, check out Tirebuyer.com. they had the best prices on the last two sets I bought.
for trying to sell used tires, no better place than Craigslist.

Do you have 285 60 18 tires? Unfortunately from what I can tell very few vehicles use this OEM size so the used market will be small. Still I would try Craigslist.

They are the 285/60/18. I'll look around and see what I can find. There is a guy nearby selling a set of tundra rims - I could do the powdercoat thing and make them look nice with new tires at that same time. Something to think about.

Sold a well used set of 5 Trail Grapplers for $700 on Craigslist. Stupid kid. :)

Sadly, that size may be a tough sell on CL. I had my new OEM tires on there and finally dropped the price enough to unload them. Keep your expectations low! I have a local tire shop that will match any price for new tires and has next day delivery/installation. Check with local stores near you?
