darn this project keeps gettin' better and better ...

That is correct.

... I'll go back to corner and sit down now

Welcome back any time sir.

... or with pics of hot chicks neither.:flipoff2::lol:

Meanwhile ... here we go ...

Them air bags ain't no bolt-on deal. If they were ... we wouldn't need Vince.

And we need Vince.

The challenge is to mount them in such a way that they assist without hinderin'. Gotta help the springs handle the load of the camper for a nice level ride but in no way hinder the flex of the suspension when the goin' gets tough. Also make 'em operate independent of each other so I can improve the center of gravity of the rig in off-camber situations ... and make quick work of levelin' out the camper when I choose a campsite. A serious design challenge without a doubt.

But Vince weren't scared none ... and the process begins. :meh:

I guess I've been hanging around Devin too long because before I even looked at the pics the way he did it was exactly how I envisioned it. Can't wait to see the control panel with gauges and switches.

Of course it is ...

Reckon you can skip over the next set of pics of the top brackets then. :flipoff2:

Pulled off the fac'try bumpstops and replaced with some more Artwork by Vince. :D

Been a great week of pics and updates ... lots of quality custom work.

I know there won't be any more over the weekend but hopefully Vince will get a chance to work on it next week to keep the momentum rollin'.

Gotta pick up my camper in Denver in 53 days.

:flamingo:

Looking great. I like how he writes instructions to himself on the stiff he's going to weld. Kinda like writing on your knee when your going into surgery.

I'm just glad he didn't forget to work on my Junk some more. :grinpimp:

Been a long few days waitin' on new pics. I'm addicted.

First pic is interestin'. I'm assumin' this means that this here's the stuff they're gonna dump in my tires. I used it in my big-ass dump-truck tires on my Dodges and had great luck with it. Sure a rough ride at first until it settles in though ... I thought the truck was gonna fly apart.:eek:

... and now on to some more fun stuff!

Remember how Vince had to choose the old pitman arm in order to match up to the new AGR steering gear box? Well that don't mean the other end's gonna workout.

Just a minor adjustment though. :D

Brackets, brackets, brackets. Is there no end to the brackets?? :meh:

Vince workin' his magic on the piece of plate in order to hook up the hydro-assist ram.:clap:

I'm no longer havin' second thoughts 'bout not doin' all this myself ...:lol:

Great work Vince ... hang in there ... I think there's a light at the end of the tunnel. :bounce::clap::bounce:

Vince says he's got some parts and pieces on order so that he can finish up the axles. But meanwhile ... he done got the tires all mounted up and slapped 'em on my Junk.

He said they weigh in at 140 pounds apiece. Y'all are gonna see that they didn't lift the spare and mount it. Vince suggested I tote me a coupla small mes'kins 'round to change a flat. :grinpimp:

Here's a coupla nice pics that show how the tires stick out. Gotta choose the right width Bushwacker flares that'll cover that tread. Can't be slingin' s*** all over the truck and camper.

I hate mud! :grinpimp:
