I like the bed ... so it stays.

And under the bed goes this most friggin' awesome lil' compressor:

"CKMTA12 – Maximum Performance On-Board

ARB's maximum performance, twin motor, dual cylinder compressor is sealed for moisture and dust resistance and is designed for Air Lockers, air tools and tyre inflation use."

... and the switch panel's comin' 'long nicely too.

Weather finally broke here in the Denver area and the sun came out.

Gonna be many years 'fore all the canyon roads 'round here are rebuilt and thangs come even close to normal again tho. :frown::frown:

But life goes on ... and ain't no way in hell I'm gonna be in the Denver area without makin' a pilgrimage to Mecca: :beer::beer:

Been on the tour many, many times thru the years but really liked this one cuz they done s***-canned the tour guides and now just give you a lil' thang looks like a cell phone and you enter numbers as you get to the dif'rent parts of the tour and listen to the facts. Self-guided at whatever pace you like.

Always love the room with all the big-ass brass kettles the best. Amazes me how they keep the place so clean. Obviously none of my ex-wives could work there. :grinpimp:

And a great sign explainin' what all the numbers are on the cans and bottles.

Gotta say it was painful to watch the endless stream of 30-packs of Original Coors haulin' ass down the conveyor belt. Need to back me up a U-Haul to the end of that belt.

Took full advantage of the sunny day to head to the mountains. Took a damn-fine twisty ass road up Mt. Zion that overlooks the Golden valley. Drove the car like it was rental. Which it is. :grinpimp:

Can report without a doubt that ev'ry aspect of the Chevy Malibu ... like the suspension, brakes, power, etc ... all truly suck.

But parked the piece of s*** halfway back down at a trailhead and proceeded to head out on foot to answer the Call of the Wild. Even if it was only for a few hours, it felt incredible to be back in the mountains. Took a vigorous hike to the top of a bluff that overlooked the entire valley.

Here you can see the Colorado School of Mines takin' up the foreground and the massive Coors complex takin' up the rest.

Here's a cool shot of Highway 6 where it goes thru a tunnel and the river goes around.

Then a coupla scenery shots lookin' West away from Golden.

3 and 1/2 months of diet and exercise really paid off on this hike. I doubt I coulda even done it last spring. But now 30 lbs lighter and in better shape than I've been in decades, I made quick work of it. 'Cept ya can't breathe. No amount of trainin' at sea level can help you breathe at altitude.

Modifyin' my level of personal fitness is ev'ry bit as important as modifyin' my vehicles when it comes time to start Livin' The Dream. :meh:

And these few hours this afternoon make me want it even more than ever.

Yep, glad to see Highway 6 in Colorado. Of course, Highway 6 runs both ways... I haven't made it all the way to it's end.
Happy Trails! N

Nice report sir! ...and the scenery is just beautiful..... some day I'll make the trip to them Rockies.

Now since when do you care about your health????:hhmm:

A couple years back I learned a phrase from you "Hansdome as ever" ...and this was right after your facial surgery and you looked pink back then....

So your braggin' that with 30 lbs less your physical conditions sucks....:hillbilly:

Darn sir! you need to jump on your bike and pedal as much as you can...

Goin' from drinkin' freshed brewed Coors in the shadows of the Rockies ...

to diggin' mud in the shadows of Manhattan is one helluva sorry-ass trade. :bang::bang:

We were there 2 years ago. Was nice once you got out if the city...

I don't know about anyone else, but I would sure like to see a thread where you give us a little info about dredging and what it is that Mr. Kowboy does to pay for all of these toys.
Bonus points for pictures or stories of mobsters with concrete shoes or other things that get scooped up.

It's amazing how much more intriguing build threads become when the occasional T-N-A shot is worked in.
