Yeah!

I feel so happy! My wife cant complain she is gone shopping. I gonna have it in time for the 8th too. Woohoo!!!

You will definitely use that skid plate. That was my first mod and I have some pretty good gashes in it. Probably because I am not lifted yet... It only took me almost 2yrs to get the CDL (Mines a Hazard) switch. And I have yet to use it. I guess I will test it out in Baja. I didn't do the 7 pin mod because I don't want to have to push the button every time I am wheeling. Just seems like much more work to me or at least one more thing to remember.

Sorry I am out of the loop. What is "the 7 pin mod"? I did an quick search but did'nt see a thing.

It allows you to lock and unlock the center diff in either high or low. Normally the center diff locks when put into low, and unlocks when in high.

Here is the thread for the 7-pin mod. LINK

I didn't do it because I don't want to have to push the button after I have switched to neutral and thrown the shifter into low. It's just a third step that I don't want to deal with. I only see it useful if you are in tight turns while in low. And I just don't do enough hard wheeling to make it worth while.
So I just basically want the CDL to be able to lock while in High which is what you and I have now. The 7-pin will allow you to Unlock while in low. That pretty much sums it up. But I probably left something out so read the link. :D

The first thing I do when I get off the pavement is hit the button (the CDL also disables the ABS). I don't like the feel of ABS on loose ground. I usually drive in high with the CDL on until I need to be in low.

thanks guy, that helps. I think I will just install the switch so I can lock the center in high.

And more importantly, disable the ABS...

I knew I would leave something out! Thanks for filling it in guys. Man I can't wait to lose the ABS when I go to Baja in two weeks! That will make the high speed stuff even better!
I think I am going to take the dry lake bed past Guadalupe Canyon back home for the fun of it. But not if it's windy that sand storm on the lake bed was NO FUN last time..... 3mph for 20 min... :bang:
