The 20th it is. Let's get an early start... say 8am, I've got a going away party for a friend that night at 6pm so I will need to be done by then but we should be fine unless we run into serious problems. mobydick I would say you should count on breakfast and lunch for everyone. Breakfast burritos and maybe a pizza...beverages wouldn't hurt either?? We should plan getting your cruiser over here either Thursday night or Friday night so we don't keep everyone waiting. I would say attempt to drive it and I can come meet you with the trailer or tow strap if it doesn't make it. My address is 1089 Brookdale ave, Medford 97504. Also everyone should bring basic tools so we aren't all trying to use the same socket... ie sockets/wrenches/extensions...
Rear main seal for sure, I would definitely recommend a basic refresh on the t-case as well, seals on the fore and aft out puts, pilot bearing if automatics have those, there is a paper gasket on the t-case that may effect the tolerances on the bearings as well and of course gear oil for the t-case. This isn't all necessary if money is tight as you may be able to leave the t-case attatched. I have never pulled an automatic out of a rig... sorry. Seats will come out, console and front carpet too..
I have a floor tranny jack but am not sure what is going on that weekend. I also have a haynes manual that covers the 62 but its only OK.
Portland is a cool town. Downtown is nice. Your kids would enjoy OMSI, and if you have time (40min drive outside) multnomah falls is pretty cool.
Chad (creepersleeper) pres of cascade cruisers lives up there and is cruiserhead. You could PM him as well.
Im in for wrenching.
I'll be over to get your cruiser at about 11:30am Sunday morning
