84cruiser and i will be rolling my rear fj60 axle with a disc brake set up under my 40 today.
i'm also running flipped rear 60 springs and have some "ruff stuff" hangers to weld up.

should i re-weld the front stationary hanger in the stock position or move it back an inch or so to get a bit more wheelbase?

shackle angle i can adjust with the new rear hangers.

:D

When I did mine I moved it back 3", flipped the springs (FJ60) as well. If you are looking for more WB now is the time. Tack it in and make sure everything will work first!!!

can you send me pics of this?

3" back seems to far, but if you did it.......
i'm sua, did this lower the back end at all?

Click on Snotz in my sig line, plenty of pics in there.

Jim, Mine are maybe 2" back from the stock ones, I just cut off the bottom mounts and welded the new one under it.. Total my axle ended up ~5" back from stock with fliped FJ60 rears.. See my post here https://forum.ih8mud.com/showpost.php?p=1057757&postcount=36
or the build thread in the sig for how the tire position ended up.. NOTE: i ended up changing out the hangers in the back for those Ruff Stuff Way back ones you got for me!

first pic shows how the fliped rear 60 springs turned out the first time i did this.
the rest are of cutting hangers, shackle angle and how much more wheel base i got out of this, along with a nice departure angle.
ok, second pic shows wheel/axle placement https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=161665&highlight=ROTW
