Hey,

I picked up a used FZJ80 and the PO said it was recently painted. I peeled off the fender gasket and some paint came with it.

Any ideas on how to touch this up? See photos attached.

the paint job was not prepped right so like Splangly mentioned, you will have more issues. Unfortunatley there is not a whole lat you can do save for pressure washing and scrapping all the bad spots off, sanding, priming, and re-finishing completely.

The bad spots should be sealed with an exterior paint to protect the metal at a minimum. If it is old paint underneath you are probably ok, but if it is primer I would get something over it. If you fix spots hear and there that is really technical because you will have to feather-it-in and blend everything. Body shop is your best bet.

Thanks guys, it isn't what I wanted to hear but I'll have to find a way to cover it up for now. It's just primer underneath. I'm hoping to move soon and can take care of this in a few months.
