Hello guys

I recently purchased a 2020 lc200 gx manual v8 diesel middle east specs (no dpf or egr thank god) and im thrilled to join as a member on this forum, my names Mohsen and im from Kuwait.

Having said that, all my life i’ve been around toyota’s and i just love them. My previous suv was also an lc200 v6 manual fantastic 1grfe 4.0L engine but it did not suit my needs as this vehicle was a bit heavy for this engine and it also had an internal engine issue so i preferred to sell it and buy a newer one with the diesel engine.

Anyways hoping to become a contributing member in this forum.

Attached are the pictures of my suv when i first saw it in a showroom in Saudi Arabia

Welcome Mohsen! Nice looking Land Cruiser and wish we could get the diesel (and a manual transmission) here in the U.S.

There are so many knowledgeable people here as I learn something new each day.

Thanks for your kind word and to be honest getting a diesel in Kuwait is only done by factory order and i was able to find a pretty clean one across our border in saudi otherwise its the other models available which are the same in the USA i think which are the 5.7L V8 and the 4.7L V8 and 4.0L V6 (all auto trannys)

Welcome Mohsen! Congratulations on the new truck. That’s very cool you were able to buy a diesel. Looking forward to seeing more photos and learning about your truck!

Welcome in the small brotherhood of manual diesel 200 drivers…. as I saw we are the only two hehe
Yes i have to agree with you 😂 We are a rare breed so you’re from Bavaria that must be amazing driving your lc200 diesel between german cars 🔥🔥

It is definitely fun since the 200is kinda rare here. I think the only other 200 in the region i know is a friends mum with a 2016 (got myne from them hehe) und a few 70s around (a 78 & 79 as V8 diesel from the friends dad….)
But it is interesting to see that the „Africa Version“ aka manual one mostly has fabric seats.

Maybe I’ll ask you in the future about your cruise control since I tried to install one at my 2008 but even with the right switch, the already installed cables and fuses from factory he don’t want work. I was already done with this since I thought it will not work bc it is a manual and Toyota did some weird s***….

You will have definitely fun with that car. I cant see it in the picture but do you have the Toyota rear lockers installed or is he without?

i have the normal diff lock button if thats what you mean not individual lockers for front or rear.

And yes the cruise control came built in also in my previous v6 lc200 manual it was there as well.

I will be happy to help you with anything, did you order all the required parts for the cruise control installation?

Very nice land cruiser!
I used to own a similar LC200 but with the 1GR V6. Your v8 is going to be a lot of fun!

I had the same exact one also imported from doha 😂 but in white color, no lift kit just a nice set of all terrain 285’s that fit in nicely with 17” braid wheels.

How do they compare? Do you notice a big difference
I drove the manual v8 diesel lc79 but never drove the lc200 with the diesel.

I drove the lc300 with the new v6 diesel and that thing was a rocket ship. So much power and torque.

it looks like every 200 has every part for the cruise control inside except the leveler at the steering wheel and that one i got.
maybe I need to get acces to techstream for a day to see if there is a way to work this out.

I can definitely feel the difference in torque and the middle east lc200 diesel spec is underpowered so there is big room for improvement, perhaps an exhaust system with a tune would make it very different

The v6 was nice overall but when i tried it in the dunes it felt very sluggish, i was reaching max rev with not much power and with this v8 it feels like it has more room to breathe

I

I had braid wheels & regret my color choice for the wheels
285s and oem front coil spacer - stock rear
