I just purchased a stock 2004 Land Cruiser with 162k miles from Houston. It should be delivered tomorrow, I will post pics. I don't plan on doing anything crazy, maybe a 2" lift and some larger tires. Any suggestions for a truck that's going to be wheeling around Corpus Christi, TX?

Welcome! Is it gold color?

Good deal

It's in pretty good shape, the bumpers have some scuffs. I plan on replacing them eventually. First addition is probably going to be a set of all weather floor mats .

Welcome! I do like the gold on these. Looks great after a fresh detail. Just out of curiosity...what was your reason for going with an '04? I will be in the market for a 100 series soon and I cant decide if i should go with the simpler, less tech packed 98 and 99 or a newer one with more tech and the 5spd tranny and a bit more 'refinement'. Obviously budget is the biggest consideration.

I have been casually looking for 100 series Land Cruisers over the past year. I didn't really have a preference. This one was relatively close and pretty clean. I know the Navi system is dated, may replace in the future .

i Saw that as well. Did you pay full asking if you don't mind sharing?
I tried to negotiate, but they wouldn't budge. I have tried to negotiate two other vehicles with AutoNation and they wouldn't move. I paid the
listing price around $11,900 . Not a screaming deal, but around market based on my research .

I have a 04 and I searched only 04 and 05 because of,
1. Bluetooth, updated center console, backup camera
2. 5 speed tranny
3. No AHC (at that time I didn't know there are non AHC 06s)
4. Side airbags
5. Child seat latch

No one uses built-in car navigation system today, unless no smart phone with data connection.

Sorry for not updating this thread, should get to it with pics shortly . When I picked it up, it was missing one center cap. I believe they are the stock 18" wheels . Where would be the best place to source an OEM centercap, don't care if it is used .

Try Ebay

Seems you got a good deal, congrats. How many owners before you? I have an ‘04 and love it. Paid a good bit more a few years back. You now own one of the best vehicles on the planet.

I have had a 99 LC and still have a 99 Lx, I drive an 04 LC daily and prefer the 5sp over the 99's for highway drving. . I recommend a GROM cable to access music. I use mine all the time. For how much I use it and Google maps it was money well spent.

12K for a nice rig, with 160K miles is a pretty decent deal. You should be pleased :)

Now the fun begins!

I don't have the Carfax in front of me, but I believe there were three previous owners . It looked like the maintenance was done at Toyota dealerships . Was probably a mall crawler hauling kids around.
