I have had a 99 LC and still have a 99 Lx, I drive an 04 LC daily and prefer the 5sp over the 99's for highway drving. . I recommend a GROM cable to access music. I use mine all the time. For how much I use it and Google maps it was money well spent.

I have never heard of a GROM cable, so I googled it. Looks like something I would be interested in, do you have any recommendations?

I treated the leather this afternoon with Pinnacle cleaner and conditioner. If I have time this weekend, I plan on hooking the paint up with Chemical Guys Blacklight and Pete's 53 carnuba . It's probably going to be time consuming since this thing is so damn big .

I have been pretty busy, now attaching some pics.

Looks to be in great shape, we’ll done. I’m partial to the ‘04 model as well.

Mine is an Gold 04 as well. Not the color I wanted but couldn't pass it up due to condition and service records. The color has definitely grown on me though as I've built it up and I think the dark tinted windows and black armor really makes the color look great.

That's a good looking truck, is it lifted? I might get a Slee Blueberry front bumper, haven't decided yet .

Welcome! I do like the gold on these. Looks great after a fresh detail. Just out of curiosity...what was your reason for going with an '04? I will be in the market for a 100 series soon and I cant decide if i should go with the simpler, less tech packed 98 and 99 or a newer one with more tech and the 5spd tranny and a bit more 'refinement'. Obviously budget is the biggest consideration.

Look at the FAQ where there's an article (provided by Slee) that describes the changes made in the 100-series over the years. I opted for a 2004 (over a `99) because of improvements to the front pinons. Maybe that was just a way to rationalize spending a little more, but the theme I hear here in conversations about buying is that going with a younger rig is always a good idea. There are exceptions, especially if you have a specific function in mind.
