I installed mine last night and am pretty happy with it. My only minor complaints are that the provided hardware do not have a large enough head to be effectively captured by the cutouts in the new grille. Easy enough to swap the old hardware into the new grill. The hood latch needed to be shimmed a hair to ensure easier opening which was accomplished with a short rubber spacer on the latch mount. And finally, the light fixtures are not a super flush/clean mount to the hexagonal cutouts but are solid (this is just a very minor aesthetic observation). Overall, super stoked with it and feel that it updates the front end nicely.

I somehow managed to lose the foam weatherstripping. How necessary is it that I install the foam?

And you mentioned an adhesive strip, did you install that?

These look so rad, has anyone else got install pix, esp with raptor lights?

@DRANGED I haven't tinkered with it yet, was saving it for this weekend. I think maybe I just flipped a piece the wrong way before reattaching it - I don't mean to imply that something is wrong with the attachment point on the new grille.

I did install the foam adhesive strip along the top. You can't really tell it's there once everything is back together. I'm thinking it's meant to help seal the small gap at the top so debris is less likely to get in.

I just received the grill with raptor lights. I have no idea how to install the lights, so if someone can provide instructions or event better a video, that would be very helpful.

The grill quality is awesome. I really appreciate all the effort the organizer put into it. Well worth the wait.

Got mine yesterday and installed today. Yeah, the included bolts are useless. The latch base(?) seems kind of flimsy and is nowhere near as sturdy as OEM so making this thicker or stronger somehow would be a good idea,

I’ve never wired lights before so yeah, could use some guidance for the easiest option. I like the look of the grill. Certainly makes the front look refreshed.

These grills are getting lots of attention on the GXOR FB pages. Seems folks either love them or hate them. I think the hate is just haters hating like haters do. Besides the hardware issue most folks that have them installed are loving them.

Installed mine yesterday, haven't wired the raptor lights yet. Any suggestions? For those that have, did you run the wiring along the hood and tie to the fuse box?

Today I was so happy to install my new grill because I finally had the time to do it. However, I was disappointed when the Toyota nameplate that I ordered with the grill wasn’t inside the box. Now I had to put the old grill back on until I get the nameplate. I sent the vendor an email so I’m waiting. Very disappointed.

I sent a message on Sept 29th and haven't gotten a response yet.

My message was critical of faults in the grill however. I'm holding out hope that messages that aren't only positive feedback are also addressed.

Is anyone having as bad of an experience as I’m having with the vendor. They sent me a grille without the insert (Toyota). I have sent a ton of emails, DMs to the vendor with no reply. I don’t know even know what to do at this point. This is why I don’t often purchase products from small businesses that do not have customer service rep. Or a phone #.

I’m so frustrated.

Any suggestions?

I may have to file a claim with PayPal.

I feel that all too often people who spend their money have a hard time accepting a sub par outcome as reality. Fact of the matter is the hardware is worthless, the grill latch is so flimsy it bends making the grill not able to operate normally, the lights are extremely poor quality and communication isn't timely. If I had it to do over, I'd save my money.

I've seen a few people saying they shipped from different locations for some reason might be the case, idk, I didn't buy one so I'm just speculating really.

@maddtv I know you didn't get what you paid for, and that sucks, but as an alternative, there's a guy over on the GXOR FB page that is making custom inserts for these grills. Maybe hit him up and get something custom made. it can say pretty much whatever you want, or just have him recreate the Toyota emblem.

Weird. Mine has been fine. I just reused the old hardware and I don't see any bending.

For what it's worth - I checked our sales / e-mail history on this.

maddtv posted on October 17/18th - we shipped a replacement nameplate on October 19th.

At the time we were absolutely buried in shipping orders and 1) forgot to include the nameplate on his order and 2) took a few days to respond to his initial e-mail. 100% our bad, of course, but it was rectified fairly promptly.
