G'day,

I just purchased (less than 48hrs ago) a '94 FZJ80. It's in excellent shape, and has the factory lockers. I am extremely excited about it, and with ARB USA headquarters up near me in Seattle, and Specter near my girlfriend down in L.A. I am in danger of putting a lot of money into this vehicle very quickly. Assuming I had the money that is...

I hope to join up with other Seattle area Cruiser folks as my own skills and the cars capabilities get built up, though I know it is a great car stock too. I've lived around an FJ62, a Prado, and an LX470, though this is the first Cruiser I've owned.

When I bought the car, there were two parts loose in the glove box. I have pictures of them (with a ruler for size) below. Do they ring a bell for anyone? The first is just an L-bracket of sorts. The other is a short shaft with a square mounting bracket welded to the back. The shaft is open on one end, but sealed on the other, and has two bolt holes in it (bolts are in them in the picture).

Cheers,
JFS III

Paper weights I'd say, but at the very most they could be some sort of under dash brackets that most will never see. The one on the left could be leftover from a stereo install....

dunno

They dont look like any bracket ive seen on a cruiser before.
May be some left over rubbish from something else.
Bin them and have a congratulatory beer or two for buying a great 4wd.

Guessing the one on the right was some sort of home made bracket to bolt up to the pintle holes on the rear bumper...perhaps a hamm radio antenna? maybe the other is a bracket for a radio.

The one on the left is a Euro model muffler bearing bracket. The one on the right is the service tool to install it.

It could be the other way around, not sure. Hold it up to the light after soaking it in water for two days. There should be a clue imbeded in the paint that surfaces.

Let me know.

After-market "somethings".

Put them back before you up-set the balance.
