I know JohnEd, I know Wil at Wilson Motors. Understand, there's nothing in this for me, other than helping folks. It's not my shop in Cahaba Heights, it's just a place a good friend works. I trust him, like everything he does. It's hard to find a place that will even let you speak with the mechanics anymore, Gotta have a "service writer" which is usually there just to lie to you.

Werd. no dis taken and fo sure none meant. I appreciate your responses more than you know. I'm just getting into this sickness and after years of lurking I have come to respect all you guys over here for your opinion. Don't mean to sound like I'm quibbling over price...I aint. I just know you guys know your ish and wanted to pick your brains. The color thing aint really a big deal either...like I said...I showed the pics to the old lady and she said "meh I don't want both of us to have white cars" so if mama wants a different color I would paint it buzz bait chartreuse if she will let me buy a cruiser...so I just wondered what that would run me in our area. Last thing i want to do is come off petty. I'm just a little excited to have this long wet dream become IRL porno sex that I drive home.

So to answer your question...how much to paint JohnEd's hunnerd blue?

I wouldn't a paint a 10K vehicle a different color. Maybe a 2k rig... But repainting is expensive and it would take a while to re-color one.
Just find one the color you want.... but don't choose Blue. It's the rarest of colors.
There are atleast more hunnerds in blue than there are 80's though!
Search cars.com and autotrader, and don't be afraid to travel to go get it...

Sounds right. Hope he post some pics soon. I creeped a powder blue 100 yesterday on 59 N. I haven't seen many of those...what's the rarest color for the hunnerds?
