Greetings Everyone. After months of searching I finally pulled the plug on an fj60. Looking forward to the rebuild process. Picked her up in NOVA so some of you may recognize it. Currently living in Baltimore. Here are some shots.

Most likely same one. I for sure didn't pay 10 got it way less more what's it's prob really worth 6 I could tell from driving it it needs a tranny rebuild.

Will also a recent maintenance evaluation owner had done addressed some of the leaking and carb rebuild Etc

Very nice 60 from one 60 owner to another...
If you are going to rebuild the transmission, I strongly recommend the H55F. You will not regret this, trust me it is like mine never had the original 4-speed. It's is the best improvement, PERIOD, for the FJ60. As a bonus the mileage is better and you can cruise comfortably at 75 mph and be normal like the rest of the speed-demon crazy drivers on the Beltway. Just don't go above 80 mph, FJ60s become progressively less stable above that speed.
That is an urban legend.
Haaa! So says Mr. Super Modified 60 owner to the Toyota purist...
PS- And a very nice modified vehicle it is...
I'm kidding. I don't even have sway bars, and it is a death trap over 80.

Ya I am strongly considering that now just trying to small the 2x the cost for a new h55f vs a rebuild, will eat up the cash for my other mods. How's the resale value go up doing one vs the other?
