Too bad the pipe is still running under the frame.

well in reality id be in some deep chit if im hitting that pipe the way it is now its not the lowest thing on the cruiser.

mike

It looks like the lowest point in that vicinity of the truck. The only things that seem like they might be lower are the front mounts for the rear control arms. It doesn't really matter though if you are running those tires. You won't be able to get anywhere where you can damage it.

hehe .. they're proximity sensors ... you hear your cats go kaboom , and ya know you're on a rock !

T - off to bed

O.K.

So regardless of how low it hangs or whatever....

Does it make any difference? That is besides sounding different.

Is there room if you cut a hole in the center portion of the frame rail to run the exhaust pipe across? Obviously you'd have to have some fabrication skills.

Anyone done it.

^ That's what I was thinking, cut a hole with a hole saw, and weld in a section of round tube to fit (to keep the member rigid), then pass the exhaust pipe though the opening.

Roger that. I think the hole would need to go through on a skew to avoid sharp elbows in the exhaust, then cover plate the top and bottom of the rail, along with you're welded pipe sleeve to re-strengthen the rail in this area'r.

But is there room I wonder?

Pre-95 exhaust goes over the frame rail. :bounce:

^ was there an underbody structural change in 95?

I'm not sure. I believe the routing of the exhaust changed when the cats went inline. I'm not sure if the gap is still there on the later models.

The later style back-to-back cats end too far back to make the trip over the top of the frame.

Does the 91-92 exhaust route go over the frame like the 93-94 except on the DS?

Yup.......

Exhaust

How loud is it in comparison to stock. Did you have the "whistle" before or after? What kind of mufler is that?
Thanks,
Carl

sorry guys ive been out of the country for some time. the muffler is a magnaflow the sound of the cruiser is deff different lower for sure the wisle is completly gone and i had a bad i mean bad wisle at 2 grand. i could tell people i had a turbo before and they would belive me the wisle was that bad. i deff notice a much better throttle on the thing it seems quicker off the line and its easier to get power faster.

thanks mike
