carb, cam, lifters, rockers and an intake could cerainly cure that problem for less than a grand, including labor

People have put 454's in their cruisers I can't imagine why a 502 wouldn't fit. Put some 40+" boggers on and head for the mud. As a matter of fact I think I saw a cruiser with a 500cid Cadillac in it in one of my mags some time ago.

Back in the 70s we put a 427 chev in a 40 it fit ok ,Drive line took it all except the birfs,couldnt keep them alive .We blamed our lead footed buddy Bruce Thornton at the time at the mud drags.

Ross at lc4wd in Albany Oregon ran a big block in his 40 back in the day. Don't see it too much any more however. Seems like he went to the top truck challenge years ago and got his gas tank sugared. Totally out of line. I will have to look through the old magazines to be sure... I am rambling... I am sorry.

That will be crazy!! How will it work out for steering shaft clearance?? Or what about the clearance to the brake booster?? OK i am just worrying too much!!
