Yes - I think it will devalue. Fj's and Jeeps do hold their value decently well, that's true, so do 4runners and Tacomas.... Ever see a mass produced Ford hold their value over 5 years? I can't think of any.

Do all Jeeps hold resale well, or just the Wranglers? Honest question, I have no idea. The reason I ask is if this type of vehicle is an exception to the rule, regardless of overall manufacturer resale values.

cool tool. Top right you can pick the make/model.

DDDDDDDDDiiiiiiieeeeeesssssseeeeellllllll try to find a cheap diesel super duty that doesn't have more miles than the space shuttle or something wrong with it (6.0 that hasn't been fixed already)

Actually new fords hold their value fairly well.

Jeeps hold their value but I don't think it is for the right reasons. Currently Jeeps are the hot item to have with open top options, solid axles, upgrades galore, overall toughness, and the legacy associated with the platform. However, Jeeps are not reliable and simply not a good value as a daily driver. Contrast that same value with a Tacoma or Tundra. While both of the Toyota truck platforms are aging and due for overhauls, they are still very popular and incredibly reliable. Toyota's are purchased for their longevity and customer satisfaction.

The more I look at / read about this truck, the more I like it. It's just really screwed up the way Ford did the "models" and packages... quite confusing. The fact you can't get the 2.7L with a manual is a shame, and I really wish they had mechanical 4wd, and of course SFA. But hey, other than that, this thing is dope.

The Ford Mustang GT350

Edit: just saw the "mass produced" part, so I changed my answer.

Focus hold their value well... any ford truck does, most newer mustangs do also.

@mtweller the biggest mess up is you can't get the manual with the sasquatch edition. But I'm sure the swap is pretty easy and a few years down the road will be pretty common place.

I think you can Al. Looks like the base, Black Diamond, and Badlands models all come with the 2.3L and 7sp manual, and Sasquatch package is available.

Soooooo confusing.

The Sasquatch model will be similar to the name and almost impossible to find.

Ford holding value: Focus ST500.

Seemingly great work by Ford with the re-introduction but I am in 100% agreement on the overly confusing aspect. I have started to reserve one a few times since yesterday and I keep getting bogged down in all of the options and details and never end up completing.

Picked up a new F250 with the 7.3L V8 earlier this year, my first experience as a Ford owner since college. Early days but pretty impressed so far.

I'm sure there will be evil capitalists re-selling these at a tidy profit to those who have to have one first

No idea. It appears orderable, but then again, you have to hold a phd in automotive option ordering to make sense of any of it honestly. MT seems to be a reputable source so maybe it's one of those "orderable" deals they don't actually plan to build.

ETA - just saw that was two separate links, and Ford had confirmed it via Twitter shown in the second article. That's a shame.

The Sasquatch is a package and is the "thing" that makes this whole deal special. I doubt they'll hold back on those, but the First Edition is sold out and will for sure create some stupid wallet emptying on the secondary market.

I like this truck. I would go straight poser and get a 2 door with 4 banger and 7 speed manual. With best off road options possible. 🤣

I was reading a thread somewhere where people were bagging on the Bronco w/ 4-cylinder because - how much power would it actually have prior to the turbo spooling up? And for this reason people are already writing it off.

Then I remembered: 22RE, 3RZ-FE, 2TR-FE are all 4-cylinder gas engines and actually do quite well offroad. Gearing, gearing, gearing - another nod to Ford for (presumably) getting this one right.
