ok, i got them mostly on the 40. today i was looking at one and remembered that the Iroks are directional. i'll have to check the ones i put on already and see which ones need to be moved around the truck to go the right direction.
anyway, here are a couple pics. the old ones are 36x14.50-15,
new ones are 39.5x13.50-17

the right tire is a new one, the left side is an old one. last pic is a shot of the rear with a new one on there. i don't know how Jill will get in now. the whole truck sits almost 2" higher than before and i was already helping her in occassionally.

Looks awesome! Now you'll be even more nervous on those hillside roads like that one you had trouble on up near Salide a couple summers ago.

do you need to lower the hitch again?

 not sure what you mean. my FJ40 trailer comes straight out the back, no drop. i am looking for used 40-42" tires for the trailer to match. they can have little to no tread since i can regroove them. anyone have a few lying around?:D

edit: did you mean so i have something to drag on the drop offs? if so, it would have to be a pretty huge drop hitch. :D

Nice Shawn. Real nice. This is what we are talking about--seriousness indeed!

Like I said, I am following you on the snow run (if--according to Slimbudda--we even do get any snow on the tree run :cross fingers:)

PS: just noticed that you have an LT-1 with drum rear brakes?!?! C'mon...at least discs to make everything kosher Shawn.

;)

it's called ran out of $ and tired of working on the rig. i have a plan to get a 14 bolt from the pick and pull w/ 4.10 gears. use the carrier for the regear now and slowly work on putting on discs and shaving the pumpkin on it to swap in. :grinpimp:
of course, Murphy may have something to do with plans...he always does.

I am thinking about moving up to 42" tires this spring. If you can wait a year they will be worn out and you can have those.

i'll hold you to it!

Nice Shawn, looks even meaner - if that was even possible.

Shawn -

Maybe you can get Jill one of those emergency ladders made of rope. You can hook it to the seat frame and toss it down to her...

Tires look great! We'll put you in front on the snow run to break trail. Any idea how much a tire and wheel combo weighs? It's a stretch for me with the steelies and 35s. I'd need a crane to move one of yours around!

fixed it today. i cut the snow chains down a hair and used the extra to make chain steps that hook on the door opening and then you pull them inside. the boys can even use them to climb in! I AM THE MASTER! ok not really, but it was fun custom making stuff...:p

the tires are 85lbs each. the old ones were 79lbs. going to bias from radial really cut the weight gain. the rims are probably about 5 lbs more than the old ones. not sure of the total weight, but i picked one up myself to put into my truck. a short lift, but it's more an issue of how to get a hold on it to lift it. probably just over 100lbs (like 120, tire rim combined).
