Just picked up an 07LC. So add one more Atlanta member. It's my dream car. Lost my LX a few years back in the Atlanta tornado and the insurance turned into a much needed minivan.

Got in a few parts including a backup cam and stereo faceplate. Can't decide on the headunit.

Congrats! No pics of the new rig?

Welcome back to 'Mud.

Look forward to seeing more pics . . . w/ mods of course.

How can you swap out the headunit on an 07? Wouldn't you lose the factory climate control/nav capability? I'm bewildered how you can do this? Unless I understand this wrong...

 Whoa, I've never seen one of those before. I thought it was only 2003's that had the available non-nav and climate control integrated units. Very cool. Is this a non-usa spec model? Where did you pick it up? It can't be a NA model can it?

Me Want!!!!

You got the one off eBay out of TX I posted up a few weeks ago. Nice truck congrats you lucky dog.

Welcome :) You have a very, very, very rare dash setup.

Rob- could this be what you need to complete your project? I saw the OP is replacing the head unit. Maybe he could snag a few photos of the connectors and such.

That's what I said. Vin plate and emissions stickers show it as US vehicle. Carfax and service records have it originally sold and registered to a bidnessman in a high end Houston neighborhood.

Found it before mud (pricing thread) did on the interwebs at a big non franchise dealer. Felt like a seagull in the Nemo movie ("Mine!") and pulled the trigger. So far its passed emissions here in Georgia, and when I had the oil changed no one at Toyota told me it was a Chinese knockoff, or built from three vehicles from different continents. So I am pretty ecstatic.

I am at a loss on head units though. Rumor has it the Kenwoods are beautiful but slow, the Alpine interface is fast but a little ugly, and the Pioneer supposedly has tin can call quality. Hard to know who to believe. I thought it would be easier with a fat double din opening.

So far thinking Pioneer 930, but dreaming mimics from mp3car or the new oxygen audio head unit in the center console, with an iPad custom glassed into the dash. Probably dreaming on the last two. Part of the fun though.

Happy to help with pictures of the head unit, harnesses, etc, for the ongoing conversion project. I have already poked around as the original owner had a vaistech soundlinq with iPod and siruis. So that should help with connectors no? I am assuming if the Vaistech worked, that's a pretty standard harness going on.

It is the holy grail ... and naturally, after I pulled the trigger on my '06, I found 3 of them within 4 weeks. Two '06s and one '07. Before I could post 'em up on Mud, they were gone.

I already told you I blame you Aubie. That sweet LX in your driveway gave me the bug again bad. Let me know if you get those leds in and want a hand. I'm curious to see them in person and would love to help you take YOUR truck apart.
