Since losing our beloved dog Seymour, we really haven't wanted to get another dog. But, we came across a rescue dog that we fell in love with. Here's Charlie. He's a vizsla mix and is very relaxed and friendly. We are really enjoying having a puppy in the house again.

Isn't it against some sort of dog law to use Vizsla and relaxed in the same sentence? :)

jk.. nice looking pup!

Ha, he does get pretty playful and excited, which is funny because he has big puppy paws he falls all over. But he's like a ferret: run run run, fall over and sleep, hop up, run run run.

Cute face!!!!!!!

Good looking friend!

We have a 6 year old Vizsla and he is not a hyper dog at all. He has a hound dog/lab type personality. Now our German Shorthaired Pointer....

Two beautiful dogs. I looked into a Vizsla before we got 2 GSD's and might do it again if the wife doesn't lean me towards Dobe's.

On the Animal Planet website they have some videos called Dogs 101, and there is a great one on Vizslas. Definitely worth a watch.

Congrats on the Rescue. Good luck with the Puppy phase in life.

Thanks kindly. He is doing pretty well, has a few commands down. He is very mouthy, so I'm really working on teaching him a soft mouth. Good progress so far, and he is a lot of fun.

You can break any dog of licking/mouthing in one or two easy lessons, just grab their tongue and hold it until they pull away. They hate it but it doesn't hurt them most dogs stop licking after the first or second time doing this.
