Long time lisenter first time caller

Owned 1st runners. 3rd gens. T100s. But never an 80

Bought this as my personal car but have a work truck to daily.

East Tennessee. Electrician with prior military service in wiring.

Mostly posting an intro to show it is possible to buy an 80 with out taking a second mortgage out on your house for the lurkers.

Got mine with NO rust. Minor issues so far.
Needs windshield. Ac compressor? Driver door handle. Turn signal switch. Rear window motor/regulator. And maybe some vacuum hoses, throwing an obd1 code 24.

1994, 323k. 4.5l. No center diff lock switch. Full floater rear. Rear disks and abs……..no leaks! Couple small dings. Almost no clear coat. It might cost you some patience but I feel I got a reasonable deal, if not great in this time of post-ish chyna virus at $6000.

Welcome and many happy miles ahead. Forget the code 24 and the windshield and focus on getting some real cup holders in there first.

Welcome!

Nice find!

Put on your big-girl panties and strap in! We're going to spend your money and harass you the whole time!

Welcome to the obsession!

Code 24 is the cold air intake. Check the rubber boot going from the AFM(silver colored box attached to the air cleaner) to the intake manifold for cracking or looseness. On these OBD1 vehicles, do not unscrew the two screws on the plug attached to the AFM as they will tear the solder inside. Instead, slip the wire retainer out of the way then simply pull the plug. The AFM's are no longer available and hard to find used so be cautious.

Post up some pics of your engine bay and the underside for the peanut gallery.
