I hope this isn't too much chat.

I just purchased a new 2014 here in Dallas, TX. It had 89 miles on it when I picked it up on Friday. I traded my 2012 Raptor as part of the purchase as the value on the Raptor seemed to rise the last few months with them being off the market for a couple of years.

There is going to be some adjustment to driving an SUV vs a truck full time. The Cruiser feels pretty tight in the cabin as far as space and storage are concerned. Nothing I can't get used to though. I was worried that it would be hard to adjust to the difference in power between the two. However, the Land Cruiser is not underpowered at all. No comparison between it and the '99 100 series that I had a few years back.

The biggest question I have so far is, should I feel guilty about keeping it outside? I can't in good conscience kick my wife's Acadia out of the garage, and I really can't park my baby outside. (Pic to follow)
I guess maybe I should look into building a second garage.

No mod's planned yet. However, I haven't had a chance to look through the whole picture thread yet. I am sure I will have a wishlist compiled once I do.

Welcome - nice blue rig you got there. What color 14 did you pick up?

I say kick the GMC outside. Why is that even a question?:hillbilly:

I was thinking along the fact that the Toyota has a retail price that is 2x the Acadia's. Sure it will do fine though.

The one I bought is Black. Not my first choice, but not a lot to pick from.

The wife has put up with a lot of Cruiser related stuff over the years. I think kicking her out of the garage would be the last straw. Not a chance I am willing to take at this point.

The other issue besides lack of storage that I have noticed so far is when braking. I have to get used to a soft pedal I guess. Way more travel than I am used to dealing with. Nothing a few days of driving around shouldn't cure.

Remind me to never let you explain things to my wife. ;)
She would not respond well to that logic. :worms:

I'm just being silly….

My wife despises logic when I try to argue with her.

You may sell her on the idea of needing to build a shop now. Storage and whatnot of course .... Ha
