New 2007 Tundra and Tacoma Reviews

One of my jobs as a freelance automotive copywriter is to review new cars (I know, so horrible!).

Just reviewed the new 07 Tundra and Tacoma for an online mag. In short, unreal trucks, especially the new Tundra! CRAZY amounts of power and lots of room inside. Thought you guys would be interested in checking them out.

Nice, but I disagree on the prices. I went to all three 'domestic' websites and priced similar trucks to mine. Dodges website worked as well as their trucks, which is to say not at all. Chevy and Ford were within a few hundred dollars more or less MSRP with similar options as my SR5 5.7 CM 4WD.

Are you pricing the gasoline engine models against the Tundra or diesel? Hmm, maybe I didn't look closely enought at the pricing. Good catch!

I upgraded the engine options to the closest offered to the 5.7L

I didn't price the limits in the Mega cab, but I could have picked up a left over 06 edw/ a 5.9 and all options but leather for $37K out the door about a month ago. Toyota wouldn't come near that one that Tundra. I should have bought that truck, but I really didn't need anything that big. I'm happy, except for mileage, with my 04 DC.

Not really apples to apples comparison there.

How can you compare a deal on a left over 06 on MSRP on a brand new truck?

Edmunds lists a '07 5.7L Limited 4x4 CrewMax Tundra at "TMV" of $38.6k, it's got leather too. A CrewMax SR5 5.7L 4x4 w/a bunch of common options has "TMV" of $33.5k
