Okay, so I'm still at a conundrum with my tires...as I mentioned, I got the 2" lift on, and am totally happy with that. I decided to go with the 295/70/18 Nitto G2's on the stock wheels, and I need some opinions on what you would do. My issue is that the tires do rub the lower control arm just a bit at full turn, but only when turning to the left, either backing up or going straight. The other issue, and I expected this, but these tires are really heavy. I can really feel the difference in the way the car goes, either accelerating or on the highway. Not a huge deal, but it is noticeable, and I am getting used to it. Also, they're not the quietest tire out there, again, whatever. Lastly, my gas mileage has gone to poop...I'm getting maybe 12.5 mpg on the hwy. So, not necessary a deal killer with just one of those, but they do tend to add up.
Now for what I do like. They look freakin' awesome. I get so many complements on my truck now, so from a strictly vain perspective, I love it. They're also great off road. I've been through a few trails, both muddy and dry and they are miles better than what I had, plus it just feels solid off road.
Alright, so here's my thoughts. One, if I decide to keep the tires, I'll need to put on some spacers, which I'm not opposed to...I've done it to other trucks with no problems, and I think it'll look even better. I really don't want to go with aftermarket wheels at this time (you can only do so much without the wife giving you crap for it). Again, the disadvantages as stated above. As a daily driver, this is my biggest worry. If this were for mostly off road use, it would be a no brainer, and I'd keep them.
Choice two, go back to smaller tires. Again, from a strictly aesthetic point of view, the smaller tires don't look as good. I really don't know why they don't make a 285/70/18. It would be the perfect size for these trucks, and yes I know BFG makes a mud terrain in that size, but I don't want MT's.
I would want to go with BFG KO2's, so my choices are 275/70/18's which I've had on there previously(that size, not BFG's...they were Revo 2's), or I'm thinking even 285/65/18's. My issue with the 275's are that they're too narrow, and the 285's aren't tall enough. If I go with the 275's again, I would still most likely put on spacers, just to get that wider look, so that may be the way to go.
I also thought about 295/65/18's, but I didn't like the duratracs, and I'm thinking since they're the same width I have now, they would still rub the LCA.
Sorry for the long post, but I have a couple days left to swap the tires out. Should I just man up and deal with noise and crappy MPG's and get the spacers, or solve all my functional issues and go with the smaller tire? Seriously, why don't they just make 285/70's? Ugh...

One other thing, has anyone seen 1" spacers for the 200? The smallest I've seen is 1.25.

Oh, this so sounds like the trials and tribulations of my tire making decision. Unhappy with what was available, wondering why nobody makes what I want...

In the end I went with 17" wheels and Toyo 285/75's and I'm totally happy, but there are compromises with everything, that's just the way it is. I lost a couple miles per gallon and the tires are louder than I was expecting.

And the smallest spacers I could find were the 1.25" also (I actually bought a set of four Spidertrax and then returned them when I decided to go with 17's.

yep, I went through a lot of this myself... Mine was more on fitment than road noise or MPG's... The 285/70 R18 is a great size for the 200, wish more people made it! I was in luck, I love the BFG mudders:D

Yeah, if they made the 285/70/18 in an AT tire, I'd be golden. I think the MT looks awesome, it's just too aggressive for my needs.

The smallest I've seen is also 1.25". I just ordered a set from Spidertrax the other day and will install next week.

I saw a set on eBay that was about 0.25", but they seemed kind of shady.

H&R show they have 25mm/1" spacers for the tundra, I've got the 35mm spacers for a while now and no issues
Where did you get them? When I go to their website, it just shows spacers for cars. I've always stuck with Spidertrax, but If they're good quality, I might give them a try.

trakplus.com
I found a supplier here locally in the UAE. Off the site they show tire rack as a distributor might be easiest to check them for availability as they should have the largest selection

And just saying I did go down a size, what's your opinions on 275/70/18 vs. 285/65/18. Yes, I know the 275 is taller and the 285 is wider, but would you take height over width? I've had 275's on before, but they were not AT's, so I'm assuming if I went with 275 in the KOs, it would at look a little wider than the Revos.

Skime, I had the 1.25" spacers on my Tundra before i sold it. Needed just a little room to clear the 305/65/18. The thickness of the spacer was due to the thickness of the lug nut used to bolt the spacer to the hub. I really didn't like what the spacer did for the steering. Seemed to make the turning radius more than a zipcode. before the lift, my truck had a great radius for as long as the wheel base was. right before selling i swapped out the SPC upper arms for the stockers and got rid of the spacers. couln't believe how much better the steering was.
