I need install UCAs to get my alignment under control. I know many have gone with the Total Chaos UCA at about $700 but Metal Tech also sells the Light Racing (SPC) at $499 which is the same as what Slees sells for $525 ( if I'm not mistaken).

I've read great reports of these fixing everyone's problems but do you have any regrets or recommendations with either.

I certainly don't mind the little maintainence that go with the TC UCAs.

I'm accumulating all the parts to finish my build before I tackle the whole job.

Thanks

I went with Total chaos just for looks. Once I had them on a friend told me its good that I didn't go sealed ball joint route as they are prone to failure after a couple of years specifically because they didn't have lubrication. As we all are aware the TCs require proper lubrication every 6 months, so guess looks it is at the end of the day.
* edit: f$ckall this post makes no sense.

Total Chaos worth the extra $$, very easily maintained, and very easy to get your LC to Toyota recommended alignment setup

I made a decision recently and went with the SPC UCAs.

I want OEM quiet, OEM maintenance, OEM specs, OEM looks. SPC UCAs deliver in spades based on my research. I'm not a fan of heim joints especially ones that are exposed. If ICON made one with such a joint that's sealed for the 200, I would've paid extra for that. Because you can see the UCAs so easily, I don't like them to look aftermarket if I can help it.

You can't go wrong with either.

SPC 1

I emailed camburg engineering and they responded back. They do make LC200 UCA and wait time to build them is two to four weeks. They run for $699+tax+shipping. Camburg part no. CAM-310042. Information is not available on their website (camburg.com). Like TC it also needs maintenance. I think factory wheels might not work with them. I asked them and waiting for a response.

Order the SPC / Light Racing. Hate to purchase from eBay but when I did order from a sponsor they were out of stock.

Followup regarding factory wheels and camburg UCA. You can't go too big or too wide of tire. Or go aftermarket with some offset will work.

I just purchased a set of these, cost me $500 Australian, way cheaper than the ones they're selling in Aus for between $900-1200 dollars.

Just gotta wait a couple of weeks for them to arrive.

Bought mine from Slee Offroad who makes their own and have been flawless on my 200

Slee are expensive here, I was prepared to pay any price, as it was a case of return to stock (I didn't keep the original springs) or pay the man, when I went to purchase a set for $1117 this set popped up on eBay and I immediately though there are some pricks out there ripping us off :)

Mine turned up today, good quality, hopefully will fit them next week and then get a wheel alignment and then get my now tyres :)

Fitted mine today, it took us about 2.5 hours to fit both sides which included doing the toe in so I can drive it 360 kilometres to get it wheel aligned:D

Thought I'd post up some pics of the install

As is, dirty etc

No control arm

These bolts go all the way thru the control arm, there is just enough room to slide them out, may have to push on the power steering hose on one side

Now these bolts that you undo are FT bolts (fxxxing tight) so big spanners and don't forget to do them FT when finished :D

Cheers Spudman

Got my truck wheel aligned on Wednesday, the bloke said it's all back to spec, the steering wheel is back in the right position and it drives really well.

So I got back to Halls Creek and put on my new tyres, I went for the Kumho KL71 mud tyres, they are very quiet compared to the Maxxis I had on there before

Spuman, Thanks for the writeup

I plan to order the Slee ones tomorrow to complete my OME bp-51 setup. Cant wait!!

That's what I ordered to go along with the BP51
