How much was your tow yoke? Can you share a link to the setup?
Did you do something for adapting the braking?

Thank you,

Doug

Bump to OP. Would love a bit more info.

Thank you,

Doug

I have one of these.
Roadmaster Inc. - Tow Bars, Braking Systems & RV Accessories

Bought of craigslist for about $300.

I did not do anything for braking. Yes, I know that is not recommended, but never had an issue. I do have trailer brakes when I tow the truck on a trailer. Mostly we tow my wife's CRV

Resurrecting this thread from the dead... Any updates Christo? I would like to be able to flat tow my ' 99 UZJ behind my truck and camper, but I really don't want to cause any damage. Sounds like you were going to be fine, but just wondering if you've put on many more miles towing a LX OR LC?

Update after towing thousands of miles. Um, not really much to update. No issues whatsoever. We live in our bus fulltime so we crank on the miles. It's been amazing having our 100 as a toad. It's triple locked now and I'm hoping to play with it more now that we are in Texas for the next 6 months.

When I checked on the receiver mounts (towed vehicle mounts) they only list MX mounts for 98-02 model years. Can you confirm part numbers for the mounts that you used? Will the 98-02 mounts work on later models?

Meh. I never used normal mounts. I welded and hacked my own mounts. So far it has worked for almost 40,000 miles of towing. I have a new bus now... but the same old LC :)
