Need to know MAX front door speaker mount depth. (1 Viewer)

Is it possible to fit a 6.5" speaker with a 2 13/16" mounting depth in factory location. The deepest one I can find record of working is Stresspuppy's MB Quart's at 2.56".
I'd appreciate all input but pleaeaeaeaeaeze don't tell me to go search because BOY HAVE I. So yes, I know all about the eclipses

This is a spacer with a 2" deep 5.25" Alpine. I guess figure what it would looking like sticking out an additioanl 13/16". I went this way to keep the stock grills.

I guess the picture didn't make it, but could you tell me if there is >13/16" space between your grills and the dash.
