Hey Guys,

apologies in advance as I am sure someone had already asked this question. What is the max wheel offset I should have on an 80 series? im looking to buy some new wheels and I've found one that is -13 offset. I'm not sure what i need to expect putting on a -13 offset.

Thanks!

-13mm is only .5” so there should be no problem. What is the wheel width and what tires size do you intend to run?

I’m running a 17x9 -38 wheel. It has 3.5” backspacing if that helps

I found these cheap wheels and i think it would fit. i'm not sure what's the backspacing for these.
I want to put 285/75/16 all terrain on these.
my truck has some sort of lift already but im not sure what it is because i can't seem to find a name or logo haha.
do you guys think this would work?

As long as they clear the hubs they will fit fine. That is a minimal amount of offset.

Here is a 16x8 -12 on mine

No I only purchased 1 to make sure they cleared the calipers. Haven't gotten around to buying the other 4. They do not stick out past the fender though. Can barely tell a difference from the factory wheels to be honest.

Funny. I saw those same wheels and was considering them.
I want to go with 17s, though.
I have a similar question if anyone has this set up: 17x8.5. 0 offset, 4.75" backspacing with 35/12.5r17 (possibly Nitto Grappler MT or similar.
Please chime in, ready to pull the trigger.

Off topic question. I am assuming that you’re in SoCal if you saw the same wheels 😂. Would you be down to meet sometime? I’d love to meet more 80 series owners to learn more about the car. I am in the phase of “baselining” although it runs realllyyy well. Still so many questions then answers at this point. Thanks I’m advance!

Sure. If you find yourself in the Santa Clara valley area, let m know. I'm fairly new to the game having just acquired my stock '97 in May and am just now slowly building it up and figuring things out. However, my younger brother has had his 40th Anniversary for a few years and I just pick his brain or I search in the forums here. I don't think you'll have trouble finding any answers here.

I was told these are Pro Comps with a -6 offset. I dont have rear panhard correction so the only rubbing is at full flex driver rear. With extended bumpstops I dont get any rubbing. Fitment is really good otherwise. Right up to the edge of the fender.

this is a sick setup! what size tires are those? what kind of lift do you have? what kind of tent is that? im thinking about getting a tent but my truck came with a roof rack. so im thinking about keeping the roof rack and try to build out a sleeping platform inside the cabin instead.

Thank you! It is running 315/70/17s and its on a 2.5" medium OME lift with 1" spacers. The tent is just a unnamed China clone we got it basically for free to do some testing. We used to do the sleeping inside the cabin thing, but I didn't enjoy taking out all our gear and finding somewhere to store it when its time to sleep. We still do it in the winter time as I don't have somewhere good to dry the tent off after winter camping trips.
