I'm not extremely familiar with all of the different worldwide versions of TLC's, but I think the vehicle I have a question about is a 70 series of some type :) Here's my situation:

I have some friends here in the US until June. They live in Albania (I visited last summer) and drive a 1987 Toyota Landcruiser (I want to say Landcruiser II ?) with a 5 speed and 4cyl turbo diesel. It looks similar to some of the avatar's I've seen in some of the posts by the Aussies. It has a back seat, two doors, about another two feet of cargo space behind the rear seat, and a removeable top. (I haven't been able to find pics on the web to accurately identify the vehicle, unfortunatley). They bought the cruiser in the Netherlands in 1993.

The valve that regulates the heat in the cabin recently broke, and they are in need of another. They can't seem to find the part in Albania, since 99% of the vehicles there are Mercedes (literally). I was wondering if someone would have a part number or another vehicle which might use the same part that I can purchase for them while they are here in the States? I guess the part is a valve that is inline with the heater hose and has a cable that is attached to the heater controls inside of the cabin.

Thanks!

It is the 2LT engine. Would it be possible to get the parts Stateside?

I get part number 87240-90K00, however am not sure if this is the one you mean. If someone who has EPC can upload the EPC picture that goes with that part number, perhaps he can confirm. If it is...is shows the same for the BJ70, so I would "think" it might be a good C-Dan number.

That pn might get me in the right direction. Thanks for the help thus far. I've been searching the forum for about an hour and have a little bit of information overload right now on these little 2LT engines.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a "C-Dan" number?
