Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum. I'm currently attending graduate school outside of the USA in Iceland. I recently purchased a mint (Icelandic standards, but in really good shape none the less) 1986 RJ70 (I think, it has a 22R so that makes it an "RJ" right?) Bundera which a love. I graduate from school in febuary and I'm thinking about trying to import it back to the states. The question is it a good idea to do this? I know they are extremely rare in the states, whihc may make it valuable, though I don't plan on selling it. Parts I know may be an issue, but I figure I should be able to get most of the parts I need from Canada or Australia, plus it has a 22R so motor parts should be relativly easy to come by.

it has 187,000 km. It is in great shape, but has extremely light amounts of surface rust (Icelandic winters are hard) which will be touched up until I get a whole paint job. It is very stock, except it is slightly lifted.

So what do you guys think? I'm into it for just over 3K shipping will be another 1.5k or so... is it worth it?

thanks

It must be 25 year old or more to import to usa But it will be 25 year old at time when you are done with school. Also I think its worth it to import it to usa and If you love this truck then do it !

Crushers.......Are you saying that the millions of Ford F150 and F250 drivers here in the States are not "cool"?

That is the reason we have our own maple trees and syrup. We do not have to sneak across and risk being abused by you guys.
You are however still welcome to come south and visit Disney World. As a matter of fact drive a 70 Series and stop by South Georgia. I will gladly buy you an airline ticket back home.
Take care............1978HJ45
