I have a 72 and have the FSM for the engine and chassis but have put a 77 front axle under it. I want to completly rebuild the front axle and would like to use the FSM but hate to buy a complete one for the 77 when this is the only section I need. Would anyone happen to have this section scanned in their computer that they could e-mail me or possibly copy this section. I would be happy to pay someone a little to due this for me if it would save me some money from buying the whole FSM!

The only differences between the two is the size of the fastener retaining the spindle to the knuckle; drum brake 8mm, 11-16 foot pounds, vs. disc brake, 10mm, 29-39 foot pounds and the caliper mounting bolts; 54-76 foot pounds, and the wheel bearing outer jam/locking nut; 58-72 foot pounds.

The knuckle studs are still 11mm, so they are 43-54 foot pounds.

:meh:

Thanks Poser! I did not realize they were the same and that was all the info I needed!
