Hi- I need to buy a car trailer and need to check for the better brands out there. I am limited by the weight I can tow. I am using a 97' 80 series and a 2005 Tundra to tow a 79' 40 series or some dune buggies and a sand rail.

Anyone want to share their thoughts about the Big Texx brand?

I am in Spokane, WA

Thanks

You could look at a Premier. When I bought mine a year ago I was going to be towing my 72 with my 93 and wanted the best trailer with a reasonable weight and I did not have the $ to have anyting I wanted.

I considered the Premier to be above the Big Tex in build quality and design but below the Brimar. If I knew I would be buying my Cummins when I bought the trailer I would have bought The 10000 Premier as opposed to the 7000. The additional weight for my 80 seemed important then and now it does not really matter.

I also liked the fact the beaver tail was very angled, I do not even use the ramps for the 40 but I have loaded lots of cars with the ramps and had no problems at all with dragging bumpers. This can be a limitation when getting into and out of steep drives but it has never been an issue on the road or normal use.

When I sell this one, it will be for a Bri-mar in the 9000 class most likely. I just feel they are very well made.

We have been running a Paiute Trailer for a little over a year now. Its the 10,000 pound model. They make a 7K. No problems other than the paint finish is not the greatest. Showing signs of rust already. But it lives a hard life and never gets washed.
