Wanted Need pair of rear jump seats for 1969 FJ40

Hi, so I finally got my FJ40 but it has no backseat or jump seats and I have a couple kids, so looking for the jump seats if someone has them. Mine is a 1969 so not sure what fits back there. Thank you!

I think you are correct, but mine has a roll bar, and on Cruiserparts and they call out those won't work with a roll bar. Worst case I will try to hodge podge something for them to sit on until I find something proper.

With a FACTORY rollbar, maybe. You’re assuming his rollbar is factory.

Of all the seats those are the easiest and smallest footprint to work with. Assuming you had something else to add.

Oh good idea. My boys are 13, 15 and 17. Not tiny but not adults yet.

they don’t really fit on my Con Ferr seat either…..

I put a bestop fold & tumble seat in my old 73 40 that had a later model rollbar. Worked great and safer than jump seats. I got the kit from ccot.

While I may not agree with your exact purchase choice, I would wholeheartedly agree that almost anything is safer than the original jump seats.

Safety should always trump originality. And I say that as someone who lost a dear friend in a rollover.

Sorry to hear about your friend Mark. I installed a roll bar and three 4 point harnesses for the kiddos in the back. The only thing I worry about is the roll bar is not connected to the frame, just the body. Not sure is will be that effective.
