I took the photos to my mechaninc ive known for 10+ years and he said the rust is not bad. Its mostly superficial and should not be hard to clean up. I told them i was interested and im waiting to hear back for price and delivery charge to Florida. Im nervous as i have never purchased a vehicle fro out of county, much less out of state... :worms:

I must agree with fj, that its not been easy finding the right one. I have been on this forum lurking for the better part of two years and also inactively looking at cruisers. Prices are consistant, but the ones closed to me are dealers i would run from...the ones that buy from auction and just wax the car to make it look good. And the by owners are not much better.

bucfl: You mean like this?

It's a shame, nice miles and it's 5 minutes from my house.
It was listed at $10500 now back up to almost $12k.
The add is not listed at a dealer and the pics make it look like an individual listing.
I called and asked some questions and the guy was short and rude. Did a Google search and yep a dealer.

Good luck. I found Yelp reviews and BBB ratings on the dealer to be helpful as well.

So the price is $16733 sticker. I calculated taxes and subtracted from the sticker price which ended being $15,562. Is that an acceptible offer? Would even paying full sticket be a good deal for it?

Well i backed out of the sale. I asked the sales person to send me videos and one of them had rust on the tailgate and paint bubbling. When i asked him to take a closer picture, sure enough rust was bublling from the tailgate chrome. Pass...

Sorry to hear that. It has been on there lot for a bit- always makes you a little worried when one doesn't sell.

The tailgate "chrome" trimming is over plastic… so not a major problem. But if you indeed saw the paint bubbling…then yes, be concerned.

Found another... :)

Anyone know what this is? Fog light controls?

That is night vision - an option on the Lexus LX 470's I believe. It gives you a heads up display while driving at night. Supposed to be pretty cool.
