'08 Scion xB that is. Just did my first oil change on it after the two free ones at the dealership. So my question is, "How do I get that damn Maint' Req' light to go off? I know it has something to do with the ignition key and odometer/tripometer button, but what? Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes you can clear a code by rapidly turning the ignition switch 5 or 6 times (not as much to engage the starter).

From AllData

The system must be reset after the engine oil replacement. Reset the system by the following procedure:

1. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position with the odometer reading shown.
2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position while holding down the trip meter reset knob.

Hold down the knob for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates 000000 and the light goes off.

If the system fails to reset, the light remains on or keeps flashing, repeat procedure.

From your owner's manual:

Maintenance reset.webp

It has to be in "Trip A."
Maintenance reset.webp

Not the cursed owners manual!!!!!

I dont think one out of a thousand owners read those things.
