One could have the dealer turn OFF the anti-theft function...

When the radio is unlocked by the dealer it is automaticly re-set and there is no code present.

I lament the poor quality of dealers here. I used to be a firm believer in dealer service, but I continually get poor information from the service reps and never get to talk to the actual techs.

As delivered, the radio has no code in it. The radio functions as a standard radio until such time as the vehicle owner chooses and inputs his own code. Most anti-theft radios have never had a code input by the vehicle owner.
