New Aisins are expensive.

Used ones are not. They don't really wear our either, so there isn't much of a reason to buy new ones.

I got a set for $35 ea.

I’ll be look for a set of those Aisins.

Drove my LC for the first time in months, first impression of the H41.

It’s like driving a whole new vehicle, almost like I have a V8. Nice to get that 30% lost power of the A440F to the wheels.

First gear is almost to low to start in being I have 33”s and second is almost to high.

This would probably be cured with 35”s
third seams to high also it’s to much of a jump
from second. Third to forth is fine but forth to fifth, well I haven’t found that gear yet. :cP

With 33’s and a older split case I’m not sure how accurate my speed-O is. Going down the freeway at a speedy 60mph @ 2850rpm’s.

Definitely not good if you have to commute more then 4 or 5 miles, it’s 11 for me ;c(

So I see only 3 options:
1. Rubber over drive, what size would get me close to 2k rpm’s
2. Make a under/ overdrive that bolts between the trans. and TC
3. Save up and buy a Nv4500 or H55

Option 2 seems to make the most since because I plan on a under-drive anyway.

I’ll post more pics ltr, at work now.

2850 rpm's is about 68 mph for you right now... Kinda high.

a true 35 would get you to 70 mph at about 2750 rpms.

I would go with a 36/37. Puts you in a good spot on the tach. 2600 @ 70.

Check the calculators at the bottom of the page.

I was hoping for 2100rpm’s @ 70mph. I guess rubber OD isn’t
going to work unless I go 45” tires.

Thanks for the calc.

Temporary cross member I made, not well thought out but it works.
The reason it’s temp. is I had to drop the TC down 2.5 degrees to clear the body. After I install a underdrive, it will move the TC back
closer to the body opening and have clearance to go up about 3”

I reused the rubber boot and metal retained after cutting the opening
for the stick shifter. It actually worked well but the boot hole is a little
big.

Apparently my attachment box is full now and I up loaded the pics to yahoo photos but I keep getting an error here when i past the link so I give up.

Right click on the image, click properties, copy the image address.
Click on the insert picture button above the new post box, and paste the image address. It will show up like this.

Temporary cross member that bolts on using the radius arm bolts.
It’s not pretty but it works.

After I build a under/overdrive it will be FREE for anyone that needs a temporary cross member.
