So, reconfigured the OBD ii display so it's showing sensor 1 (pre cat) on both banks and that makes more sense. Both are showing very similar numbers and both are going to zero or near zero when this thing happens. So I know longer things its the O2 sensor, I think it's a total loss of fuel. But it comes and goes very fast and the fuel pressure gauge in the cab does not show a loss of pressure. Going to configure the OBD ii gauge to show fuel pressure so I can see what pressure the computer is seeing - but I have to figure out which option is the right one.

I wanted to post the solution to this just in case anyone finds it and is interested.

I installed HP Tuners and in the process of trying to track this down, the guys on the HP Tuners forum pointed out that several of the tables in my supposedly 'stock' tune were all screwed up. 2 key tables VE and MAF were WAY off. VE was closer to the table for a 4 cylinder and MAF was closer to a table for a 12 cylinder. I found a stock tune and pasted them and amazingly most of the problems, including the 'hesitation/bucking' have gone. According to the guys on HP Tuners forum, there is still more screwed up with my tune, so I'm going to get an education in tuning the hard way.

Thanks for all the help.

sounds like perseverance has paid off mate :) did you just cut and paste the incorrect tables or the whole tune if everything is stock I'd tend to want to upload the factory tune so you know everything is correct and just turn off or adjust the settings to suit your configuration

I cut and paste into my tune. I don't know all that was changed that needed to be change, so I didn't trust taking the whole tune. So now I'm going through the tune, looking for other problems.
