Need help switching petrol 22R to diesel 1KZ in an RJ70!

Hello CruiserHeads,

Writing from Egypt, where there are very few short-chassis 70 series.. So the option of selling my car and getting a diesel is not, I guess, an option!

The car is a 1988 RJ70 with 22R (carburetted) engine and G40 4-spd transmission

What do I need to change in this switch? Need a full list before I embark on this project..

- Wiring loom
- ECU
- ?

What you need?

1. A landcruiser 1kz half cut. All parts come with it.

Everything except the chassis and what left of body frame.

YUp evertyhing is needed - including the dual battery setup - dash and wiring loom, radaitor etc. Almost nothing left after the xfer.

Friend just bought a 1KZ 1/2 cut from a SURF for $5000rm (1300 uSD) with auto and dash and loom etc - Damn what a steal


so another DAFFY on the way everything we have done to DAFFY is being done to this SURF also and there is only 6 first GEN SURFs in West MAlaysia.
 
Hi cicak.. That's a good price on the half cut 1kz, any chance you know those kind of price being sold in Kota kinabalu, KK. coz I was think of changing my 2lt into a 1kz as well? What kind of prices would you expect nowadays on a half cut 1kz there?
