Need help badly, Glow plugs not working (1 Viewer)

Thanks to all the reply’s, had an auto sparky look at it and running of the positive terminal on my battery there was as piece of wire that had rubbed and shorted out on the battery heat shield, very simple fix cheers
 
Your vehicle has superglow.. in my experience a fault with the superglow system is more likely than actual failed plugs.

Prior to pulling the plugs I would clean up a small part of that Glow Rail and using a jumper lead apply 12V+ directly to the rail for 5 seconds and then immediately try starting it. This will determine if your superglow system has failed or if the plugs have truely failed.

Do not rush to pull the plugs because given the state of that glow plug rail its entirely possible that you may struggle to get the plugs out.
wanted to ask in relation to this post, as my plugs decided not to glow after work yesterday (PO installed manual glow and push button start). I did what you said here and put a jumper cable on the buss bar and the battery. worked great. my question is, is it fine for me to do this for the next while till i get the relay or whatever it is sorted out? does doing this hurt anything?

The only risk is that the PO is relying on the factory resistor setup to drop the voltage as they are using (maybe) 6.5V plugs or something.. you're putting 12V onto the rail using this method which is fine for short glow operations but if you're glowing for 5-10seconds the plugs will burn out fairly quickly (maybe a few weeks worth of starts).. if you restrict your manual jumper glow operation to 3-4 seconds you'll be just fine. Consider changing the glow plugs to 10.5V plugs when you rework it, thats my preferred voltage plug for a 2H manual glow system.

…I had similar in an 2L-T, PO put in a Wilson switch and fried the 6v glow plugs with 12v direct, another Mudder suggested the 12v plugs for a 2L-TE, which worked a charm, now starts first time, every time!
